Linda’s story

I’m the person behind a lot of what keeps DLB Precision moving from day to day. I handle the accounting and bookkeeping, keep up with the business details, and built this website, more than once. I genuinely enjoy the work most people never see: organizing the details, making sure everything is handled, and turning an idea into something that actually works. If something doesn’t feel right, I’ll keep working on it until it does.

Getting behind the wheel

Racing is something David and I truly share. He introduced me to autocross, and in 2021 I finally got behind the wheel and started racing with him. A year later, we both got into iRacing, and now we have his-and-hers sim rigs.

David has built several PCs for me along the way, from my sim-racing system to my office computer, with plenty of upgrades as my needs and our hobbies have grown. That means I’ve experienced his process from the other side too: explaining what I want, asking questions, testing the result, and inevitably deciding there is one more upgrade I need.

Sometimes I’m racing beside him, and sometimes I’m his crew chief helping him through a race. When he streams on Twitch or YouTube, I’m usually there too, chatting with our friends and followers and enjoying the community we’ve built. Leo, Lily, and Rafie, our three cats, are normally somewhere nearby supervising, although none of them has shown much interest in helping with the bookkeeping.

My lane at DLB Precision

David brings the technical knowledge and loves the challenge of making a machine perform better. I bring a different kind of precision: keeping the business running, noticing the details, and helping shape the experience around the work.

DLB Precision isn’t simply David’s computer business that I help with in the background. It’s something we’re building together, in our own lanes, around the things we enjoy.

Meet David and Linda

We’re David and Linda, the husband-and-wife team behind DLB Precision. We share a love of PCs, racing and helping people get more from their machines. Based in Austin, Arkansas, we serve Central Arkansas and ship custom PCs throughout the lower 48 states.

David’s story

I’ve been taking things apart and putting them back together my whole life. I want to know how things work, why they quit working, and what I can do to make them better. Building, repairing, and tuning PCs became a serious pursuit for me in 2023, but the tinkering goes back a lot further.

My background is in the automotive world, where I went from master technician to service advisor to service director. Problem-solving is the part I’ve always loved. There’s a lot of satisfaction in finally figuring out what’s causing an issue, fixing it, and seeing everything work the way it should. Pair that with my love of PCs, and you can see how DLB Precision happened.

A hobby within the hobby

Racing has been part of my life for a long time, too. I got serious about racing games around the Gran Turismo 2 and 3 days and started autocrossing in 2002. Then I found iRacing in 2022, and that opened up a whole new hobby within the hobby.

I got hooked on tuning the PC itself. Overclocking, dialing in settings, testing changes, and finding that extra bit of performance while keeping everything stable. Better frame rates, smoother racing, a system that feels right. “One more adjustment” can keep me entertained for quite a while.

What I want you to remember

I started DLB Precision because I love this work and wanted to help other people with it.

And while I can happily talk hardware all day, customer service is what I want people to remember. Being listened to. Getting a clear explanation. Feeling comfortable asking questions. Whether you’re deep into sim racing, excited about a new build, or frustrated with a computer that won’t cooperate, I’m happy to help. Figuring this stuff out is what I enjoy.
